Stavros Chrysostomides, PA-C, caq-oRTHO - Physician Assistant
Stavros is a Physician Assistant and is a direct extension of Dr. Kirol’s patient care. He evaluates patients in clinic and first-assists in the operating room. He also performs ultrasound and fluoroscopic guided injections, regenerative medicine injections, diagnostic ultrasound examinations, and performs cryoneurolysis with Iovera. Stavros is passionate about non-operative treatment options for multiple orthopedic conditions, particularly knee osteoarthritis.
Stavros is a graduate of the Physician Assistant Program at The Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) where he served as class president. He graduated magna cum laude from The Citadel, The Military College of South Carolina with a Bachelor’s in Biology.
Stavros has obtained his Certificate of Added Qualifications (CAQ) in Orthopedics through NCCPA. He holds professional memberships with the American Academy of Physician Assistants (AAPA) and Physician Assistants in Orthopedic Surgery (PAOS).
Katie - Medical Assistant, RMA
Katie has been with Midlands Orthopaedics & Neurosurgery since 2022. She previously worked in pediatrics and urgent care for 7 years.
Katie assists Dr. Kirol and Stavros in clinic and with office procedures as well as coordinates the preoperative planning and surgery scheduling for Dr. Kirol.
Carrie - Medical Assistant, ncma
Carrie has been with Midlands Orthopaedics & Neurosurgerysince 2024. She previously worked over 20 years as a medical assistant in family medicine. She assists Dr. Kirol and Stavros in clinic with office procedures and schedules our regenerative medicine and Iovera injections.
Laurie - Administrative Assistant
As Dr. Kirol’s administrative assistant, Laurie handles a wide variety of activities for our team and patients. She often communicates with patients to schedules office visits and can address most administrative questions.
